My latest still life is 'glass jug and figs'. I tried a different background technique this time with a scumbled grey over brown. I couldn't do a dark background for this subject as the colour of the jug wouldn't have been seen.This time I have tried painting on a gesso panel, which is an Italian laminated wood panel primed with totally smooth gesso, and so they are excellent for detailed painting.
